Hello! I have been coming to Star Island since I was 9 but switched from my old conference to YES in 2024. This Island means so much to me and the YES conference has elevated it even more. I am currently a full time student and enjoy sewing and biking.
Jade Smith Taylor – Co-Chair

Hi there! I joined YES in 2023, which was also the first time I had ever been to Star Island. This is my third year on staff (Chaplain Coordinator in 2024, Registrar in 2025). I work in the checkout department at a national grocery conglomerate and I am currently a part time student.
Wolfert J. O'Neil – Registrar & Co-Director of Music

Hello, I am Wolfie. I have spent many years on Star in the LOAS 2 Conference, but 2025 was my first year at YES. That would make 2026 my second, and my first year on staff. I am a high school Senior and recently applied to college. I love math, music (play guitar and piano), and people. People have described me as funny, nerdy, and direct. Can't wait to see you at YES 2026! 😉

I have been coming to the YES conference since 2022 and this will be my second year on staff. This is such an awesome and special community to be proud of. Star Island is a special place for me and this community. I am from Vermont but right now I am spending most of my time in Colorado cross country skiing. Shooting for the Para Olympics.
Natalie Troyer-Kulstad – Worship Coordinator & Co-Director of Music

Hi!! I have been attending Star as a LOAS II conferee since I was 6 years old and joined the YES conference this past year! My experience with YES proved to be so impactful I decided to join staff as Worship and Music Director for the 2026 season — I am SO excited! I love music, sailing, capturing moments on my camera, and most of all, olives. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns, I cannot wait to meet everyone and bring an extra layer of magic to the island!

Olive Carter – Fairy Godparent

Hello folks! My name is Ollie, I am I am one of this year’s Fairy Godparents! This upcoming year will be my ninth year as a part of the YES Conference and I have been on staff helping plan the conference for seven years. I am currently in my last semester in college, an internship, and work as a technician at my local pharmacy. My favorite thing to do is play with the goats on a farm near me and look for cool mushrooms.
Madelyn Galvin – Fairy Godmother

Hi, I’m Maddie! This year will be my 6th year on staff and my 7th with the YES conference. I am very excited to be one of this year’s Fairy godparents and make at least a few dreams come true :). I work as an occupational therapy assistant and love to craft and find good food as my side hobbies. My favorite vegetable is a flavorful cherry tomato.
