Hello! I am one of the Y.E.S. co-chairs for 2021-2022. I started going to Y.E.S in 2017 and fell in love with the creative, youth-led, welcoming community here. I grew up in Portsmouth, NH a few miles away from the island, and now go to school at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA. I love spending time with others, contra dancing, watercolor painting, and jumping jacks! My favorite animal is the giant squid.

Hi everyone!! This will be my fifth year on island, since 2018, and my third year on staff. I’m originally from southeastern Massachusetts and I’m currently in college studying fine arts. I love spending time outdoors, collecting rocks and seashells and all sorts of trinkets, doing live radio, hanging out with my friends, and meandering around on island. My favorite mode of transportation is piggy back ride.

Hello folks! This upcoming year will be my fifth year as a part of the YES Conference and I have been on staff helping plan the conference for three years. I am currently taking a gap year and working as a pharmacy technician trainee. My favorite thing to do is play with the goats on a farm near men and look for cool mushrooms.

Hey! This year I will be co-worship coordinator with Rhys. I have been a YES conference member since 2018. I love this community and am looking forward to this next year together! I currently live in western Massachusetts and am studying sustainable food and farming. I am passionate about gardening and also have a houseplant obsession as a result. I also like climbing rocks. My favorite mode of transportation is rolling down hills or frolicking.

Hi! I am the co-worship coordinator with Jenna! I’m currently on the west coast studying ecology and evolutionary biology at UCSC. I have been going to YES since 2018 but this will be my 20th year coming to Star Island, since I used to be a part of the LOAS conferences. I also worked on housekeeping as a pelican last summer during 2021. I like rocks and birds. I also love listening to jazz even though I do not play. My favorite rock is Star Island :)

I first came to YES in 2016 after hearing about it through my church’s youth group, and found a sense of spiritual and social community that a traditional congregation had trouble providing for me. I’m currently on indefinite hiatus from college (theoretically, I’m a math major), and in my spare time I like playing video games, programming, and writing for the LARP game that I staff at. My favorite form of transportation is the subway.

Hey! I am currently a part time college student and am working as an axe throwing instructor. I have been attending the YES conference since 2017 and first learned about it from my older sister who used to attend. Along with axe throwing I also enjoy painting, sketching, and playing music. Over this past summer I even got to play in a band at a friend’s wedding! My favorite form of transportation is either commuter rail or horseback riding.
