We're very excited to announce that we have just launched our YES 2016 Scholarship Fund campaign!! 

​The goal of this campaign is to raise money for our scholarship fund, which provides financial assistance to conferees whom otherwise would be unable to afford the costs of attending. We aim to help as many shoalers as we can, with the hope that no one has to miss out on the beauty of our conference due to financial constraints.

With our conference nearing over 70 attendees this year, scholarship requests have also increased. At least two-thirds of our conferees require some amount of financial aid each year in order to attend. As a result, this campaign is crucial to our conference's ability to provide aid.

As a thank you for your generosity, you'll get some hand-made personalized gifts from our conference! Some of these amazing donation perks include:

• A handwritten letter from our conference staff
  
• An electronic playlist of original music by many of our talented shoalers
  
• Customized art made on island
  
• ..and much more!

Our Teespring has sprung! Featuring a front and back design by our very own Kieran Tom, this shirt represents the weekly traditional Pel vs. Conferee softball game on our home away from home, Star Island. "What makes the grass grow? Blood, blood, blood!" is a chant used every year by our team as we end our pre-game speeches and enter the field of softball battle!

Each sale goes towards our scholarship fund, which provides financial assistance to our conferees. For over half of our conferees, this is a key resource in being able to afford the cost of room and board on island.

This month we are offering offering two one-of-a-kind prints from YES alums Clark Jackson and Marcy Ayers! Clark Jackson's piece is a silk screen print featuring a slue of cartoons created by the artist himself, and Marcy Ayers's piece is a hand-carved woodblock print featuring bright colors and summer treats!

This month we are offering a hand-knit scarf from our Chair emeritus, Emily Ferguson as a thank-you for your contribution!

You will be able to customize this one-of-a-kind scarf to your exact preference of color, style (infinity/regular), length, and any other specifications you may desire.

​Contribute  between December 11th and January 11th to enter this giveaway. By donating $10, your name will be entered once in the drawing pool ($50 = 5 entries, $100 = 10 entries). If your name is drawn, you may choose color, size, style, and any other options you prefer and you will receive your item by February 2nd.
